All my life, I've been an artist. As a child I loved to draw, sculpt with clay, create collages, and take photos. After graduating from snowy Alfred University with a fine arts degree in graphic design, I worked as a graphic designer and marketing specialist for over ten years. In 2019, my husband, kids and I moved to the beautiful South Carolina lowcountry.Â
Soon after, as a Mother's Day gift, I took a calligraphy class and was immediately drawn (pun intended) to learn more. Calligraphy turned out to be the perfect way to blend my personal love of handmade art with my professional knowledge of graphic design. Many, many hours of practice and YouTube later, I had it down and was hooked! Sky to Sea Calligraphy was born - at first to share my calligraphy journey, and then as an official business. My "coastal elegant" style is inspired by nature - from the sky to the sea and everything in between!
I'm looking forward to creating something beautiful for your wedding, party, business, or home!
